Amazing! 59 year old Tom Watson, winner of five British Open titles including one at Turnberry-known as the "Duel in the Sun" with Jack Nickalus, is leading after 54 holes in the British Open. As you probably saw, he was not on my list or anyone else's list of favorites to win the British Open for at least 10 years. It is going to be a really exciting day tomorrow. This one will not involve Tiger in any way, he missed the cut on Friday. I guess we all have our bad days.
I am sure he will do just fine and I still think he will pass Jack Nickalus easily in terms of major championships.
