All Star Game
I know I am a few days behind but a quick recap of Tuesday's All Star Game. There was nothing too eventful on the field, the American League won, not to anyone's surprise and should the Red Sox make it to the World Series they will have home field advantage. President Obama threw out the first pitch and there were some spattering of boos in the crowd. One should not be surprised since he did not win that state-I am sure throwing out the first pitch here was a political move for 2012. He also joined Joe Buck and Tim McCarver in the broadcast booth (aka Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee). He sounded more competent than the two of them when it came to talking about baseball. Unfortunately Tim Wakefield didn't pitch but I am still happy that he got named to the team. There has to be some strategy when it comes to players as the game does count towards home field advantage.
